Another Broken Egg Cafe® Adds Pumpkin Waffle to Core Menu


Following years of overwhelming praise, the previously seasonal menu item is now being offered year-round.


Orlando, FL (August 27, 2019) – The Pumpkin Waffle, which this year was recognized on the Restaurant Business “12 Unbeatable Breakfast LTOs” list, will debut nationally August 27th. This extremely popular, craveable breakfast and brunch item has historically been a seasonal offering but will now be available year-round for guests to enjoy.


The sweet entrée is one of a few select guest favorites that, after receiving overwhelming praise from seasonal menu appearances, has been added to the core menu. Guests can’t get enough of this pumpkin-infused Belgian waffle, which is topped with pecans, spiced compound butter and powdered sugar and pairs perfectly with a Simply Apple® Pie Mimosa or a cup of the brand’s premium seasonally-rotating single-source coffee for fall, Rwanda Muhondo.


The Another Broken Egg Cafe model is feedback-centered and values guests’ opinions when making menu decisions. For years, the Pumpkin Waffle has received exuberant praise and persistent requests for its reappearance on the menu. Guests frequently reached out when the last fall’s Seasonal Selections were replaced by a new round of limited-time items, sharing how much they wished the delectable entrée was available year-round. This support for the item led to the brand’s decision to add it to the core menu this fall.


The Pumpkin Waffle was first introduced as a test menu item in fall 2017 due to its classic fall flavor. The Seasonal Selections at Another Broken Egg Cafe are a unique and exciting way of bringing new options to the menu for guests to try. Each group of selections brings entrées created with the seasons in mind and featuring ingredients at their peak ripeness.


This exciting method of trying out new menu items allows Chef Jason Knoll to test unique and creative offerings. These offerings are brought to the test cafes for guests to try out and to share their feedback, giving the brand a chance to track and understand what diners want to see on the national menu. This feedback-centered model results in a constantly evolving menu, not only with fresh seasonal offerings, but also enhanced core offerings based in large part on the praise from guests as well as on the sales of each featured item.


The fall Seasonal Selections for this year include the Brisket Benedict, Carrot “Pan” Cake Stack, Seared Scallop Omelette and Strawberry Pound Cake French Toast along with new drinks including the Spiked Pumpkin Cold Brew and the new Rwanda Muhondo single-source coffee.
