Mike Hussey is the Vice President of Operations at Another Broken Egg of America, Inc. Mike joined ABEA in December 2013 as the Corporate Franchise Trainer. Mike was quickly promoted to Director of Purchasing & Culinary Operations before moving into his current role as Vice President of Operations in early 2016. Mike studied business management and marketing at Samford University before beginning his restaurant management career working first for upscale hotels and independent fine dining establishments before joining Ruby Tuesday where he served in both culinary and operations roles for several years. In 2009, as District Chef for Sodexo USA, Mike managed the food service programs on behalf of several large college and university campuses and served as the Executive Chef for Tavern on the Hill in Easthampton, FL. Mike’s extensive background in operations, training, purchasing and culinary provides the ABEA franchisees with a unique and diversified level of knowledge, experience and support. As Director of Franchise Operations for ABEA, Mike and his team of Business Consultants partner with each individual franchise group and assist them in the development of their business objectives and ensure alignment with the ABEA national business plan to maximize success. Mike and his team work together with each franchisee to develop the tactical plan needed to achieve their business goals while assisting them with operations execution, staff training and profitable P&L management. Mike is also responsible for overseeing new cafe openings, and together with the operations team, assists each franchisee to successfully navigate the step-by-step opening process. Mike and his team collaborate with our franchisees as a business partners and Mike works very hard to maintain an environment of cooperation and partnership between the ABEA franchisees and home office support team.
